Weekly Update for Monday September 28, 2020
We would like to start off by encouraging you to renew your club membership on-line or by mail if not already done. We suffered a major setback this year with not being able to have the pig roast as it was not only a major source of revenue for the club, but also the best time to renew your membership directly with us.
Snoman raffle tickets are also an important source of revenue for the club, so we appreciate any support that you can give us by selling and/or buying tickets. Larry and Leta Lee have tickets available for sale, and can be contacted at 204-884-2169 or by email at email@example.com
Wow, have you seen the newly installed translucent groomer bay doors! They are absolutely beautiful and will make us the envy of every snowmobile club in the province. We need to acknowledge Randy Hiebert's support in helping us obtain and install these doors, which would have not been possible otherwise. If you haven't seen them it is worth stopping by the groomer shed to have a look.
We continue to make good progress as we have started to sheet metal the exterior of the building, and will continue to do so next Saturday starting at 8:00 AM. We have seen a slight decline in volunteers, which is understable given that summer is behind us. We encourage you to continue to help out if at all possible as we make a final push to get the exterior completed before the weather turns cold. We expect the rest of the building material to show up within a couple of weeks, which will allow us to begin insulating and finishing the building's interior. It is truly an exciting time for our club as the groomer shed takes shape and will soon be home for our 2 groomers.
A thank you to Jennifer Martineau and Darlene Ritchot who prepared food and fed the hungry volunteers the last couple of weekends working at the groomer shed area. It was appreciated by all.
